by North Marion High School Senior Photographer
What can I say about Susanna. She contacted our studio and said she was looking for a North Marion High School Senior Photographer and had found us through Google. Cool! I could tell she had searched for a photographer, looked at all the websites that came up (probably on page one) and chose us. WE were the lucky ones to be chosen by her.
I could tell right away she was the one doing the booking and knew what style of photography she was looking for. She booked us and it was an adventure. We all met at the first location of the shoot and Tonya and her discussed clothing. Susanna said she only wanted to be photographed in two dresses, both of which she had made herself. It kind of caught me off guard because we usually ask our Senior girls to bring “at least” five and closer to ten just in case. However, this was not the case with Susanna :) Of course, I love a challenge.
I photographed her at the first location with several textures and colors in her blue dress. We then went to a separate location where she changed into her yellow dress. Now in a park setting, my eye was darting around trying to find several background colors that complimented her dress. Tonya and I found several and photographed her in those locations. We then headed to the river where it was her #1 choice, which was to be photographed in a river.
Unfortunately, luck was NOT on our side. It had been raining for days and the river was extremely high and now it was more like rapids. I didn’t feel like swimming and neither did she thank goodness. However, we improvised and did what we could around the river. By the end of the shoot, we were all laughing and having a great time. That’s what it’s all about.
Here are some of the images from the day…. Ciao.
